The Richmond District is a large neighborhood on the western side of the city. It is often divided into two areas – the inner Richmond and the outer Richmond. It has many influences from the Chinese-American culture. It has a commercial presence with ‘New Chinatown’ making it a competitive place to find a house. In many ways it is defined by its relation to the parks. It is bordered by:
Golden Gate Park on the south
Pacific Ocean to the west
Lincoln Park, Land’s End, Mountain Lake Park and the Presidio of San Francisco to the north, separated by the Presidio Greenbelt
